03.14.17 | 15 Months of Love

I’m not quite sure how it has already been 3 months since our little dude turned ONE!  With his birthday being so close to Christmas we had a small gathering with friends in Wisconsin before heading to St. Louis for the holiday with family.

I ordered him this adorable shirt from Etsy, and therefore ‘Mr. One-derful’ became the theme for his invitation. {Plus it’s very fitting!}

Did I really need invitations–No. However, I needed something for his baby book…right?!

In the future, we’re debating on recognizing his half birthday instead, since Christmas is so close.  Then he would get to celebrate in December and June. Share your thoughts please! Any of you with December birthdays have an opinion on this?!

{Here is his simply sweet invite}

02.23.17 | And my pick is…

Well, it’s been quite some time since my last blog post.  I thought I’d start off my first post of 2017 reflecting on my favorite project from last year.

It’s hard to choose–but I’d have to go with my Vintage Airplane Baby Shower Collection.   When my friend Anna pitched this idea to me I knew I had to get every plane ticket detail right!  And…I love a good challenge!

Those that knew Rebecca well may have picked up on some hidden meanings on the front of the board pass.  I used Gate C1 and Seat 1C, because this was their first child and their last initial is ‘C.’  Rebecca was due on September 25th…therefore I chose a flight time of 925.  Perhaps I am the only one who made the connection–being the designer and all–but it was fun regardless!

This collection included a boarding pass invitation (front + back), place cards and a thank you card design.

11.10.15 | Cheers to 50 Years!

As we sat at dinner on a ship in the middle of the Adriatic Sea, Tess was telling me about her parents’ upcoming 50th anniversary party.  She was looking for an invitation design that would incorporate their prom picture…yet she was hesitant to mail this special photograph off to some design company across the country.  As she told me more about her concept, I loved the idea and wanted to be a part of bringing her vision to life.

Shortly after our trip, she emailed the image and I worked my *magic* to increase the quality of the photograph.  I’m not going to lie–I was a little worried the resolution wouldn’t improve, but thankfully it did.

I hope these two enjoyed celebrating their love with family and friends!

10.29.15 | Do You.

The urban dictionary states that the phrase “do you” means:

1. acting in a way that satisfies you, not caring about what others think
2. following your heartDena + Jim did just that when they surprised their family and friends with an elopement announcement on August 20th!  A formal ceremony was not their style, so instead they snuck away to Denver, Colorado and got married!

Shortly after their return, Dena reached out to me to design their ‘Wedding Announcement + Celebration” invitation.  Last weekend they celebrated with family and friends, Wisconsin-style–wearing Badgers apparel.

Congrats again Dena + Jim!
